WIKITUDE
Welcome to Wikitude, the Augmented Reality (AR) platform which allows you to browse the world and helps you discover information about places and points of interest around you.
The Wikitude AR Platform consists of three components:
- Wikitude World Browser (the original AR travel guide)
- Wikitude.me Geo-tag the World!
- Wikitude API
Wikitude World Browser presents the user with data about their surroundings, nearby landmarks, and other points of interest by overlaying information on the real-time camera view of a smart-phone. The Wikitude World Browser can be used to examine our environment to find what we as humans use in our immediate surroundings for clues, data, and information that help us make decisions.
You can add your own content using Wikitude.me to share global points of interest (POI) in open and public platform. Wikitude.me also supports larger content or more dynamic content sources can be uploaded by registering your content XML with Wikitude.
Build your own Augmented Reality application using the Wikitude API. Wikitude API is a powerful application programming interface which allows for the open development of markerless AR (Augmented Reality) experiences. The Wikitude Open API is currently available in a (closed/open) Beta basis. Please contact Mobilizy if you would like to use the Wikitude as part of an innovative AR projects.
