What exactly is a Point of Interest?
A point of interest, or POI, is a specific point location that someone may find useful or interesting, e.g. Stonehenge (51.178889°, -1.826111°), the Battle of Waterloo (50.679167°, 4.406944°), or the place where Ötzi the Iceman (46.778889°, 10.839722°) was found.
