The WIKITUDE API is a powerful application programming interface which allows for the open development of markerless AR experiences, providing developers with the tools to either create their own android augmented reality applications, or enhance their existing Android applications with an AR camera-view engine.

1st: Download Wikitude API package

2nd: Register your Wikitude API AR-Application
If you have developed your own AR application with the WIKITUDE API you can register and receive and API key here: (After registration the API key sent to you will remove the “BETA” watermarking overlay on the camera-view.)

3rd: Any Questions? WIKITUDE DEVELOPER NETWORK: We have established a Wikitude Developer Network forum to encourage developers to share their experiences with the WIKITUDE API and also to exchange thoughts and ideas amongst each other.  Furthermore, the Wikitude Developer Network forum can be used to receive support from with the developer network and the Mobilizy Dev. Team.

This is a wonderful example of integrating the WIKITUDE API with the open-source GeoBeagle geo-chaching software on the Android platform, developed by Nicholas H.Tollervey

    When I unzip the wikitude_api_1_0.zip (444kb), RAR software shows that this file is damged. How can I solve this problem?
    I’ve downloaded that file in many times, and always get the same message.

    Not at the moment – only several android phones and the iPhone 3gs support Wikitude.

    i have been trying to fake ar with js en html but the existing libraries doesn’t support camera preview. after that i came across this api, omg! very nice job. very pitty i don’t have any knowledge about java otherwise it would be a perfect base for my dream ar application.

    i downloaded zip file.

    but there are no wikitude java api,javadocs , documentation and a sample application and when i downloaded the file.
    there is exist only Wikitude_android_api_1.1.
    please let me know what can i do.
