Hello Nicola!
I’ve been trying to run an application in the Android’s Emulator that
uses the Wikiude API, but until now I had not success with it.
I followed the steps found in the Documentation of
the API, but even with the all steps executed perfect, my application
and Wikitude didn’t work yet (I have already installed the Market and
the Wikitude in the emulator).
When I run my application the message that is shown to me is “The
application Wikitude (process com.mobilizy.wikitude15 has stopped
enexpectedly…)”, and when I run the WikiTude browser application in
emulator it asks me to set location settings. I enabled “Enable GPS
satellites” option & run the application, again it make an alert for
location settings.
I tried the demo app (BasicOpenARDemoActivity) too, but it throwed the same message that my appicltaion throwed.
So, can you give me other tips?
Thanks and sorry for my English.

Hello Nicola!
I face problems testing the API with the latest Wikitude version.
I installed the latest version of Wikitude World Browser available (4. build 9.0) on my htc (platform 2.1-update). When I run the demo app (BasicOpenARDemoActivity) , it does not crash, however, no customized icons nor titlebars are displayed in ARView.
That’s a pity, as I am particularely interested in testing the 3D-AR support of the API.
Could you give me a hint?
Is there something I missed, or are there any known issues regarding API and Wiktude version?
Thanks, Stefanie
05. August 2010
Hi Stefanie,
Unfortunately we had to disable the customized icons and titlebars in the current version. We’ll keep you updated on this issue and it will be back in with one of the next versions.
If you need anything further please contact me.
Thx and greetings
Nicola

Hi,
My app now is not working, with the latest wikitude update, the api key was rejected?? Is there anything I did wrong? I tried to look into the license agreement to comply and instead found a 404?
Any ideas?
Best,
Tista

Seeing the logcat results, it seems the WikitudeARIntent can’t find the following file and causes an exception:

hello, recently i use wikitude api for iphone 1.0.4
now i see that the iphone version is 1.0.5
what is the change?
could you provide a change log?
Also I got a problem when implement this api in iphone ios4.
Because of the multitask, if there are many app run on the background, (which is always alot since when u quit any app, they are sent to background) the pois is not shows, and get a memory warning log.
and after i clear all the background, the poi is show again. It took me sometime to figure out why. Some if it happen, i think the API should provide more clear message.

Hi Dai,
We are currently working on a major update of our webpage and including a change log of all of our version is part of it. Sorry that we have not yet the page in place.
Regarding the changes:
-We fixed some iOS4 issues (including an issue where the POIs where not shown on first start-up)
We will keep you updated on further changes of the API

Hi Sakshi,
Thx for your interest in our Android API. Yes the API can be used in every country of the World. You just need to add the points you wish to display to cam view as described in the documentation of the API package.
If you need anything further, just let me know.

Hi James,
Have you updated to the latest Wikitude Version available in the Market? If I understand you correctly the application shows that your key is invalid, is that right? We will have a look at this.
